Walk Against Child Slavery Walk Against Child Slavery22 November 2008 Participate in Christopher Pyne’s Walk Against Child Slavery with Rev. Tim Costello and help raise awareness of the plight of children around the world who are victims of human trafficking and slavery.
Saturday 22 November 2008 The Walk will consist of a series of interactive stations that will highlight the key issues that affect millions of children worldwide that are victims of modern day slavery. The aim of the stations is to educate members of the community on the extent of the global problem and how they can respond positively to stop the exploitation of children around the world and to show what Australians can do to be part of the solution. The Walk is designed for families and children to participate and there will be children’s entertainment, including face painting, clowns, a sausage sizzle and a Fairtrade cafe.
