Learn about the issue of war affected children, including child soldiers, and support Levi and Megan McGrath as they head to Northern Uganda to volunteer with World Vision Uganda for four months.

The event includes live music and guest speakers.

Vision Session: Child Labour: What are the real costs?

Vision Generation

A diverse panel of speakers will address the real cost of child labour including a spotlight on sex trafficking, a focus on child labour in India and World Visions Don't Trade Lives campaign.

Find out how to get involved in the Don't Trade Lives campaign and Vision Generation, the youth movement of World Vision.

Speakers Include:
Dr. Barbara Sullivan: Senior Lecturer in Political Science at University of Queensland and internationally acknowledged researcher on prostitution and trafficking.
Ben Hafner: Life Aid Australia: Sharing stories from his recent fact finding trip to India of the extent of child labour in India, particularly in the sex industry.
Susan Mizrahi: Campaign Leader - Human Trafficking, based in Melbourne, Susan will be focussing on the campaign to the Chocolate Manufacturers of Australasia to eradicate the worst forms of child labour in the production of cocoa and what we can do about it!

'Today's Abolitionists' Day Of Action

Vision Generation's State Conference 23rd September
A day of action to support your campaign for the abolition of slavery!

Trafficking enslaves 27 million people across the globe. On 23rd September World Vision invites you to become one of today's abolitionists and use your skills and talents to help end this human rights crime. You will participate in an inspiring day where you will be informed on child labour in cocoa production and TAKE ACTION!

Don’t Trade Lives Church Training (Brisbane)

World Vision invites you to attend a key training session on how to get involved with the Don’t Trade Lives campaign to help end human trafficking and slavery.

The Training session will provide an up to date overview of the issue of human trafficking and slavery. It will also provide resources and practical examples of activities your church community can do to raise awareness and advocate on this important issue.

When: Thursday 25th September
Time: 6.45pm (for a 7pm start) until 9pm
Location: Garden City Christian Church Chapel, 16 Rover St, Mt Gravatt
For: Ministers, Church Leaders, Social Justice Co-ordinators, Youth Group members and passionate people hoping to engage and take action through their church.

Registrations are essential.
